Enough is enough

Enough is enough

Enough is enough.

Like many businesses and residents in Brussels, we are deeply shocked and disgusted by the scenes witnessed during the latest strikes.

Our clients, visitors, and employees have been confronted with violence, intimidation, destruction, and a level of disorder that has no place in a modern European capital. Many have told us they felt unsafe, frightened, and ashamed of what they saw in the streets of Brussels.

How did we reach a point where such scenes have become almost routine? Why are citizens, entrepreneurs, workers, tourists, and families expected to accept chaos as a normal part of life in our city?

Brussels increasingly risks being associated with images of confrontation and insecurity rather than innovation, culture, and opportunity. This is unacceptable.

What is even more frustrating is the apparent lack of political accountability. For years, decisions have been made that have weakened confidence in the management of our city. Instead of restoring order, protecting residents, and supporting economic activity, too many leaders seem disconnected from the reality experienced daily by those who live and work here.

Brussels deserves better.

We deserve a city where people can move freely without fear, where businesses can operate without disruption, and where public authorities put the interests of citizens first.

The current situation is not sustainable.

It's time for responsibility, leadership, and concrete action.

Enough excuses. Enough complacency. Enough decline. Brussels deserves better.
