From Brussels to Hong Kong: Belgian Chocolate Festival 2026

The Belgian Chocolate Makers is part of the Belgian Days 2026 in Hong Kong

Belgian craftsmanship, ethical cacao and authentic bean-to-bar chocolate are heading to Hong Kong on 14–15 November 2026.

We are delighted to announce that The Belgian Chocolate Makers will be participating in the Belgian Chocolate Festival in Hong Kong on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November 2026, as part of the Belgian Days celebrations.

From our artisan chocolate workshop in the historic heart of Brussels to one of Asia's most vibrant international cities, we are bringing our passion for exceptional chocolate, sustainable cacao and authentic Belgian craftsmanship to Hong Kong.

For us, this is more than an international event. It is an opportunity to share what makes real Belgian chocolate so special: its origins, the people behind the cacao, and the craftsmanship that transforms carefully selected beans into extraordinary chocolate.

A celebration of Belgian chocolate in the heart of Hong Kong

Organised as part of Belgian Days in Hong Kong, the Belgian Chocolate Festival will take place on 14 and 15 November 2026, bringing together chocolate enthusiasts, artisans and curious visitors for a weekend dedicated to chocolate, creativity and Belgian excellence.

The festival promises a lively programme combining artisan chocolate, tastings, interactive experiences, workshops, music and performances.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover a live chocolate sculpture created by pastry chef Michel Lo, alongside a selection of culinary and cultural activities celebrating Belgian traditions.

We are proud to contribute to this celebration and to represent the authentic spirit of Belgian chocolate making.

Bringing our Brussels bean-to-bar expertise to Asia

At The Belgian Chocolate Makers, chocolate making begins with the cacao bean.

Unlike conventional chocolate producers who purchase ready-made industrial chocolate, we follow the complete bean-to-bar process in our Brussels workshop.

We carefully select cacao beans from different origins around the world, roast them, grind them, refine them, conche the chocolate and temper it ourselves.

Every stage is carried out with the same philosophy: respect the cacao, preserve its natural aromatic characteristics and create chocolate with genuine personality.

Our chocolates are made without soy lecithin, and we believe that the quality of chocolate should come from exceptional ingredients and skilled craftsmanship rather than unnecessary additives.

During the festival, visitors will have the opportunity to discover and purchase a selection of our artisan Belgian chocolates and experience the diversity of flavours that authentic cacao can offer.

Ethical cacao: great chocolate starts at its origins

For us, producing exceptional chocolate also means taking responsibility for the way cacao is grown and traded.

We work with carefully selected, traceable cacao origins and support a more sustainable chocolate industry based on fairer relationships with producers.

Our commitments include:

  • Traceable cacao sourced from carefully selected producers and origins.
  • Respect for the environment and a commitment against deforestation.
  • A clear stance against child labour in the cacao supply chain.
  • Better remuneration for cacao farmers through premium pricing.
  • Preserving the distinctive flavours of different cacao varieties and growing regions.

We also exclude CCN-51 cacao from our sourcing, favouring varieties selected for their aromatic character and quality.

We believe that the future of chocolate depends as much on the people who grow cacao as on the artisans who transform it.

Bringing this message to Hong Kong is an important part of our participation.

Belgian chocolate, international ambitions

Founded in Brussels in 2020, The Belgian Chocolate Makers has grown around a simple ambition: to demonstrate that Belgium's chocolate heritage can be celebrated through genuine artisan production, transparency and innovation.

Our chocolaterie is officially recognised as an Artisan Chocolatier by the Belgian Federal Public Service Economy, and our work has also been recognised through our inclusion in the Gault&Millau selection of Belgian chocolatiers.

Every year, thousands of visitors discover our chocolates and take part in our chocolate-making workshops in Brussels, where they experience the journey from cacao bean to finished chocolate.

Our participation in the Belgian Chocolate Festival in Hong Kong is another exciting step in sharing this expertise internationally.

With our ongoing development in Asia, including our chocolate project in Hainan, China, we see enormous potential for introducing new audiences to the diversity and authenticity of fine bean-to-bar chocolate.
